STEAM

Hamilton Avenue is a STEAM magnet school. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math education. STEAM is based on the idea of educating students in an interdisciplinary approach that integrates instruction based on real-world applications and hands-on, problem-based learning.

We create an inquiry-based learning environment where students explore the world by asking questions, making discoveries and conducting experiments in the quest for new understandings. Students are given time to think, process, explore and develop their own testable questions to help direct their own learning. Students are encouraged to apply their learning to real world situations to deepen their understanding.
